Hannelore Van Even
Hannelore Van Even was born in Belgium (Europe) in the swinging sixties. Inspired by her mother and grandmother's creativity and drawing talents, she dreamt of becoming an artist.  During her childhood she spent all her free time drawing and painting.  In high school she began her art education and at the age of 21 she continued this training at the St. Lucas Art Academy in Ghent.  After graduation she had a variety of jobs but always stayed devoted to painting.  She joined the Creative Factory and found herself amid different artists (musicians, sculptors and other painters).  They share a large studio where they work and organize regular exhibitions.

My Workshop
"Funky and very colourful" was the comment of someone's first look on Hannelore's work.  Often inspired by legends or stories and the influences of symbols and natural elements, Hannelore creates a fairy-tale style of painting that results very often in elegant female figures.  Sounds also stimulate her imagination and create a magical bubble to work in.  She likes to follow the movements of figures that can only be felt working on a large scale.  That's why Hannelore's work is also perfect in settings for musical events, festivals, theatre and projects that bring art closer to people.
